Explore and learn about the Tenderloin by walking its streets. Del Seymour and our passionate and knowledgeable resident tour guides, visit key sites from the Tenderloin’s history and connect these notable places to what’s going on in the neighborhood today.

Del Seymour is known as the "Mayor of the Tenderloin" and is a longtime resident and advocate for the neighborhood in San Francisco known as the Tenderloin. His background and personal experiences make him a poignant and insightful guide to the area. Del Seymour's Tenderloin Walking Tours give attendees a deep and unvarnished view into the history, challenges and resilience of the Tenderloin community.

Space limited. Register for tickets to Del Seymour's tour. If tickets sell out, you can register for Tenderloin Museum's walking tour, which is closely coordinating with Seymour's tour.

A veteran and compassionate neighbor, Del Seymour has been a member of the Tenderloin community for the past 30 years. He is a leader in the neighborhood, working closely with Glide Memorial Church, St. Anthony’s and Swords to Plowshares. He is also co-chair of San Francisco's Local Homeless Coordinating Board. Seymour founded Tenderloin Walking Tours in order to “present the Tenderloin in a favorable setting.” In 2015, he founded Code Tenderloin to address the economic inequality he saw in his beloved neighborhood.

The Tenderloin Museum celebrates the rich history of one of San Francisco's most misunderstood neighborhoods. The 31 blocks of the Tenderloin district are the beating heart of the city peopled by immigrants and iconoclasts, artists and activists, sinners and saints. Visit the Tenderloin Museum today and encounter a kaleidoscopic American city in all its grit and glory.
