内容简介：鲁冀早年毕业于清华大学，1980年代留学美国，曾供職多家中文媒體，並以調查報道華人作家江南遇刺案而聞名遐邇。他因家族關係與著名畫家黃永玉、作家沈从文、萧乾有深厚交往，也因工作关系而结交了众多各界名人。本著對歷史的責任感，他將他珍藏的與這些文化名人之交往記憶，以及一些從未發表的書畫饋贈、往來信函，公諸於眾。他说，"我若不寫出來，無人能知，更是我對歷史的虧欠。" 作家高魯翼將分享他與一些文化名人的交往以及書畫， 包括沈從文的墨寶。
