Workshop: San Francisco Genealogy Group: Intro to Chinese Genealogy Research

Wednesday, 10/11/2023
1:00 - 3:00

It's Family History Month, and Clotilde Yap, the Global Collections Manager at My China Roots, will join this session of the San Francisco Genealogy Group to provide an introduction to Chinese genealogy research using the My China Roots database, which San Francisco Public Library has recently added to its Articles & Databases collection. My China Roots specializes in helping persons of Chinese heritage investigate their ancestry. The database counts over 200 million searchable Chinese ancestors (of which 278k are Chinese-American), and includes family tree books from China, immigration indexes from the USA, Chinese cemeteries from the USA and Southeast Asia, overseas Chinese business directories and more.
