Foraging in the Bay Area
Tuesday, 12/5/2023
5:00 - 6:00

Learn about the art of foraging in the Bay Area, where nature's pantry awaits your exploration.  Expert forager, Mia Andler, will guide you through a captivating journey of discovery, sharing her in-depth knowledge of the region's wild edible plants, mushroom and other forgeable delights. From urban parks to coastal trails, we will uncover the secrets of foraging, exploring the rich natural resources that lie just beyond our doorstep. You will gain a deeper appreciation for the wealth of food sources that exist in the Bay Area's diverse ecosystems.

Originally from Finland, Mia has over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults worldwide about regenerative practices of earth-based cultures. She is the founder, executive, and instructor of Vilda, an organization committed to fostering a profound connection with the natural world. Mia is also the author of The Bay Area Forager and Sierra Forager, guidebooks on edible wild plants.
