Learn about the African thumb piano and see Kalimba King Carl Winters perform.

Carl Winters developed an extensive songbook with the kalimba featuring gospel, jazz, blues, R&B, pop and original songs. He performs solo as well as in duo, trio, quartet and quintet configurations, and is a credentialed music teacher.

More Than a Month recognizes important events in Black history, honors community and national leaders and fosters steps towards collective change. Programming features authors, poets and craft classes.
