Speaker: Sunyoung Park on Anarchism and Environmentalism in Modern Korea

This talk will examine the development of anarchism in Korea from the early twentieth century to contemporary times and its influence on modern environmental thoughts and movements. Moderated Q&A to follow Park's comments.

Professor Sunyoung Park is an associate professor of East Asian Languages and Cultures and Gender Studies at the University of Southern California (USC). Park is also the current president of the Korean Literature Association.

For some background on the topic, you may wish to read Park's journal article "Anarchism and Culture in Colonial Korea: "Minjung" Revolution, Mutual Aid, and the Appeal of Nature".
