Israel is a melting pot, intermingling different nationalities and cultures. It is a place fusing east and west, resulting in the most unique and delicious dishes. In this workshop, participants will learn about the unique flavors and finish with a spice blending workshop, where we will experience how it all comes together. Each participant will take home a spice blend.
Aliza Grayevsky Somekh, founder and chef of Bishulim SF, is an eighth-generation Jerusalemite with a passion for cooking deeply rooted in her upbringing. Drawing from her rich culinary heritage and experiences growing up in Jerusalem's vibrant food scene, Aliza infuses her dishes with a diverse array of flavors and cultural influences. Now based in California, she continues to explore and experiment with the abundance of quality produce the region has to offer, striving to create a fusion of the best of both worlds in her cooking.
