SFPL partners with the SF Opera  to host a series of personal writing and storytelling workshops. 

What’s your story? The Opera In You is led by experienced teachers, workshops will explore the unique experiences within us all as participants build storytelling literacy skills in a creative and collaborative environment. Each 5-part workshop series culminates in free public events where participants are encouraged to share their story. Selected stories may even become songs showcased on stage at San Francisco Opera, where opera is for everyone.

Creative Arts

Exercise your power of imagination with programs that encourage hands-on projects for adults. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
