Learn how the Treasurer & Tax Collector Office supports small businesses by waiving the cost of initial registration fees, initial license fees, first-year permit and other applicable fees for qualifying businesses. First Year Free is a program created by the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor to support and revive San Francisco small businesses as the City recovers from the pandemic.

Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
