An SFPL Resource for Chinese Genealogy

With over 5 million records of Chinese ancestors and more added each week, My China Roots is the leading database for researching Chinese immigrant ancestors. Clotilde Yap, the Global Collections Manager at My China Roots, will show you what you need to get started and what unique resources are available on the database to support your search.

My China Roots Library Edition is available for free to all SFPL cardholders via the library's website. To access My China Roots, select "My China Roots" under Articles & Databases and log in with your SFPL library card number and PIN. Alternatively, visit any SFPL branch in person, then go to www.mychinarootslibrary.com to gain unlimited access to the collections.
