Award-winning filmmaker and native San Franciscan Jon Leonoudakis presents two new baseball documentaries, Lefty O’Doul: America’s Forgotten Hero and Being Ty Cobb, featuring Q&A with special guests. The O’Doul film is the untold story of iconic San Franciscan Frank “Lefty” O’Doul’s Tour of Japan in 1949 with his San Francisco Seals baseball team, which was so successful General Douglas MacArthur declared it one of the greatest acts of diplomacy in American history. Being Ty Cobb is the inspirational story of Norm Coleman, a senior citizen from Half Moon Bay who wants to write and star in a one-man play about one of baseball’s most complicated legends, Ty Cobb. Before he can do so, Norm has to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds: a massive heart attack, homelessness and drug addiction at the age of 65.  Special guests include Norm Coleman, Tom O’Doul, author Dennis Snelling, and Japanese businessman Tadao Kunishi. A Q & A session will follow each film.
