Looking to get comfortable riding your bike in San Francisco? This presentation covers all you need to know for biking in SF and the Bay Area. It is the perfect class for people interested in biking but intimidated by urban traffic, as well as anyone already riding to hone their skills. This comprehensive course follows the curriculum of the League of American Bicyclists and is the first in a series of classes. It will prepare you for our upcoming Smart City Cycling 2 and 3 on-bike workshops. Find more information at sfbike.org/edu.

Topics covered:

  • Choosing a bike;
  • Rules of the road;
  • Biking in city traffic;
  • Handling intersections;
  • Avoiding collisions;
  • And much more!
