We’ll provide all the painting supplies and refreshments, and a skilled instructor will guide you step-by-step. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to explore your creativity in a laid-back, social setting. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a piece of art that’s uniquely yours.

Eugene Rodríguez is a Chicano artist based in San Francisco, whose work spans painting, film, printmaking, ceramics, costume design and publishing. His art blends theater, neorealism and surrealism, utilizing multiple painting and storytelling techniques to create a kaleidoscopic hybrid.

Rodríguez's films have been showcased in numerous national and international festivals, and his paintings, prints, and installations have been featured in solo exhibitions in New York City and San Francisco, as well as group exhibitions across the country. His most recent solo exhibition, Charlando con la Historia, was held at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco in 2023. Beyond exhibiting, Rodríguez has curated exhibitions and lectured extensively on "Transforming Arts Curriculum for the 21st Century" at conferences. He also teaches painting and drawing at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA.
