Healthier Living is a six-week workshop for older adults with a chronic health condition (arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, etc.) developed by the Self Management Resource Center out of Stanford University. It focuses on helping participants manage their conditions day-to-day by using tools such as decision making, problem-solving and action planning. Topics covered in the workshop include physical activity, preventing falls, better breathing, healthy eating, and working with your healthcare team. Participants receive a manual written by the creators of the program as well as a certificate of completion. For adults age 60 and older.

Participants must be able to attend four of the six classes (10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15). Registration required. Please click on the link provided or call 415-355-5707.

Healthier Living is organized by On Lok, a community-based organization that works closely with community partners to improve policy and innovate older adult services.
