René y Familia is a three generation family band playing bilingual original children's music and Latiné roots music for the whole family. Drawing from many musical traditions to play danceable and interactive music, René y Familia touches on themes of cultural pride, diversity, STEM and socioemotional awareness. ¡VIVA! at the Library is a celebration of Latinx heritage, cultures and traditions. San Francisco has a rich Latinx heritage that is highlighted in a diverse array of exciting programs for all ages, from Spanish/bilingual storytimes to cooking classes, author talks to art and cultural presentations.
