Color and construct your own geometric form using the patterned nets of Cubes and Things, a series of 3D coloring books. The workshop will begin with a lecture by the artist, Stacy Speyer.  See how her artistic focus transitioned weaving to geometric forms and learn a little about the geometry of the shapes you can make in the paper craft workshop.

Stacy Speyer is an artist, educator, and author, with a MFA from CCA. After many years of creating large scale installations of hand woven and hand dyed sewing thread, her artwork shifted towards geometric forms. Entranced by the beauty of mathematics, Stacy has taken a bunch of college level math classes and is very passionate about sharing the joy of easily accessible math through her Polyhedra Party workshops.
