The New Farm will be buzzing with live music, art and crafts, book giveaways, and of course, goats and chickens. Plus, the Bookmobile will be there!

Live Music: Featuring Bay Beats Artists 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. 

Makrú Trio: 12 p.m. 
Back pOrchEstra: 1 p.m. 
Neutrals: 2 p.m. 

Art and Craft: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

Pom-Pom making with Oakland artist Cristina Edwards, celebrating sustainable creativity through a fun, lighthearted, hands-on craft. Using recycled yarn and simple techniques, we will create colorful pom poms in a fun, sustainable activity that is fun and approachable for all ages. Learn how fiber reuse can inspire joyful, creative repurposing, and bring home your handmade creations. 

Walking Tours:  

Heron's Head Park Self guided walking tour on this stroller-friendly trail, you will get to view and identify birds and other city wildlife.  

SF Bicycle Coalition Ride

Be climate happy and join a San Francisco Bike Coalition group ride, starting at the Ferry Building and arriving at The New Farm in time for the music!

 

The New Farm is an ecology center, creative space and community gathering place.   

Andrew Pollack, founder of The New Farm, is the president of the Green City Project, an environmental education nonprofit.

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.

Enjoy free performances from musicians on SFPL's Bay Beats local music streaming platform. Featuring all genres, from classical to folk, rock to rap, pop to punk.
