About the Author:  Anne M. Breedlove is the sixth of ten children born and raised in Albany, New York. Visiting San Francisco during a cross-country road trip in 1972, she decided to stay. A happenstance event in 1997 opened her eyes to the possibility of cycling not just for fun and recreation but using the bicycle as a means of international travel. In 2008 Anne and her husband Jim decided to retire young to travel as much of the world as they could on their bikes, visiting twenty-one countries and pedaling more than 40,000 miles.
