Author and recipe creator Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff will discuss the importance of food preparation with family and friends, reading a passage from her most current book, Cooking Together: A Vegetarian Co-op Cookbook.
Shanta will share the nutritional values of fresh fruits in everyday diet and show the fresh and seasonal fruits along with some unusual fruits. She will provide a demonstration of carving baskets from melons and a boat from a pineapple and fill them up with fresh fruits.
All attendees will be treated to fresh fruit salads and home-made chai and crackers.
