Strategic partnerships between nonprofits can spark innovation, expand reach and deepen impact—learn practical ways to assess, build and sustain collaborations that deliver results. Explore different models of collaboration—from informal alliances to fully integrated organizations—and discover how to choose the right approach for your mission. Gain insights into the opportunities and challenges of collaborative approaches, hear real-world examples and learn about emerging tools and trends shaping the future of nonprofit collaboration. Whether you’re exploring your first partnership or refining an existing alliance, you’ll leave with strategies to strengthen your impact and reach. Nonprofit board and executive leaders are encouraged to attend.

This program is hosted in partnership with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development.

Scott Cotenoff (he/him) is a Partner at La Piana Consulting, where he helps nonprofits build inclusive, equity-driven partnerships. With a background in public health, civil rights law and homelessness advocacy, he brings over 30 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations. Scott is passionate about advancing racial and social justice, LGBTQ+ rights and community health.
