Create a mini corazón sagrado (sacred heart) wooden box— a cherished symbol of love, faith, and resilience. Participants will paint a heart-shaped wooden box and decorate it with vibrant embellishments inspired by traditional Mexican art.

The corazón sagrado holds deep spiritual and cultural significance in Mexico, with roots tracing back to the 16th century and the Spanish colonial period. Introduced through Catholic missionaries, the symbol became intertwined with pre-Hispanic cultures, eventually representing compassion, divine love, and cultural identity. Today, sacred hearts crafted from tin, wood, and other materials are found throughout Mexico, adorning homes, altars, and public spaces.

This workshop offers a meaningful way to explore and celebrate a beloved tradition through creative expression.

Space limited. Reservations required: (415) 355-2800 (starting August 11th).

Espacio limitado. Es necesario reservar: (415) 355-2800 (a partir del 11 de agosto).
