Celebrate the Parkside Branch Library and community during our annual open house. 

Craft Activities 

  • 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. - Activity: Decorate Mini Pumpkins
  • 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.- Workshop: Create Felt Plushies. Make a felt plushie using a hot glue gun. No sewing is required. Sock puppets can be made by younger children. For children and their families. Youth under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Live Music 

  • 2:00 p.m. - Performance: Anna Hillburg. Hillburg's most recent album, Tired Girls, is a rich chamber pop collection of songs informed by her eclectic background ranging from the orchestral to indie rock and many points in between.
  • 3:00 p.m. - Tricycle Music Fest: Performance by Megan Schoenbohm. Schoenbohm has released four albums of children's music, two of them Grammy contenders.

Additional Activities

  • 1:15 p.m.-1:45 p.m. - Activity: The Return of Adventures in Ice Cream Mix-Ins
  • There will be light refreshments, a library scavenger hunt and book giveaways for all ages.
