Has your child outgrown their Halloween costume but it still looks like new? Save the environment, save money and share with the community at our Halloween Costume Swaps.

You are welcome to:

  • take a costume without donating
  • donate a costume without taking or
  • donate and take a costume

Clean and gently used costume donations accepted during any open hours beginning Monday, September 1st.

Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
