Learn about Ilocano weaving with artist Rachel Lozado in this interactive workshop exploring the traditional textiles of the Ilocano people of the Philippines. Discover how American colonization influenced these weaving practices through:

  •  A short film about Rachel’s weaving journey
  •  A visual presentation on Ilocano weaving and its history
  •  A small display of traditional woven textiles
  • A hands-on session using tabletop looms

Space limited; first come, first served.

Rachel Lozada is a community-based artivist and weaver committed to creating a renaissance of traditional and indigenous Filipino weaving in the Diaspora.
