Learn about Home Match, a non-profit, home-sharing program that connects people with a spare bedroom to community members looking for an affordable living option at no cost. Our free service matches people based on lifestyle and interests, and we screen applicants through interviews, background checks and home visits. Financial support is available for those who qualify to either prepare a room for rent or cover the security deposit.

Home Match is funded by Front Porch and the San Francisco Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing.

Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
