Gjøvik also raised ethical concerns about Apple's software development practices including about privacy and consent for AI data collection. Apple's justification for firing Gjøvik claimed her complaints and allegations of misconduct was "leaking." Since 2021, multiple agencies have found in Gjøvik's favor against Apple including the EPA and NLRB.
