Postdoctoral Fellows from Genentech will share their career journeys in the biotechnology industry. 

 

Presenter Bio:

Elise grew up in Greece and completed a degree in Chemical Engineering before moving to California to pursue a PhD. During doctoral studies, research focused on celiac disease at the cellular level. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at Genentech, with an interest in how the body interacts with microbes. Enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, and baking.

 

Cris is originally from Colombia and grew up in Texas. Completed a PhD at Harvard before moving to Genentech, where currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Physiological Chemistry department. Work focuses on understanding how immune cells respond to viral and bacterial infections.
