A retired firefighter and former Hazmat Captain with the Palo Alto Fire Department, Christy shares insights from her extensive career, including her experience as an Apparatus Operator, Training Captain, and Hazmat Captain. Learn what it takes to become a professional firefighter—from essential skills and safety practices to teamwork, leadership, and specialized training. She also discusses the vital roles of EMTs and paramedics, highlighting how these professionals work together to save lives and protect their communities.
