Experience the rich traditions of Persian dance through a live performance and book talk. Dr. Farima Berenji presents folkloric dance from across Persian and Silk Road cultures, followed by a brief introduction to her book Companions of the Sun, exploring the history and spiritual dimensions of Iranian dance and ritual.

Dr. Farima Berenji, PhD is an award-winning dance artist, choreographer and scholar specializing in Persian, Silk Road and Near Eastern dance traditions. Drawing on years of performance, research and teaching, she leads engaging programs that combine cultural history with participatory movement experiences.

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.
