Presentation: Using AI in Marketing and Public Relations

Thursday, 8/20/2026
1:00 - 2:00
Suitable for:
  • Adults

Learn how to use AI tools to streamline content creation, improve your marketing and PR outreach and strengthen your brand. We’ll cover practical ways AI can help you draft emails, social posts and press releases; research markets and competitors; and improve how your business shows up in AI-driven search results. We’ll also discuss the growing importance of earned media (news coverage, reviews and podcasts) in an AI world, and how small businesses can use these channels to stand out without big-agency budgets. This session is designed for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who want clear, non-technical guidance on putting AI to work in their marketing and communications.

Presented by Warner Johnston of 5 Borough Communications, a communications professional with more than 20 years of experience working with various national and international companies and governments.

This event is offered in partnership with the Small Business Program at the SF LGBT Center.
