Learn what literature and creativity teach us about navigating an increasingly digital world, with a moderated conversation exploring literature, cultural heritage, creativity and the role of reading in the age of AI.

As part of the EU Ambassadors Book Collection initiative “Words That Unite, Stories That Connect,” Ambassador Jovita Neliupšienė, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, will join San Francisco City Librarian Michael Lambert for a conversation about the enduring connections between European and American culture.

The discussion will explore:

  • Literature and cultural heritage
  • European–American cultural connections
  • The role of books and reading in bringing people together
  • Literature and human creativity in the age of AI
  • How we can encourage younger generations to read in an era dominated by social media

The conversation will be followed by audience Q&A, a reception and a display of the EU Ambassadors Book Collection, created as part of the initiative marking America 250.
