Enjoy making collages together listening to a playlist of 1980's Latin hit parade music. Artist Susana Gómez shows the basics of creating collages with different types of materials.

Susana Gomez is a proud native of San Francisco's Mission District and the daughter of immigrants from Michoacán, Mexico. Her art reflects a vibrant blend of her Michoacán roots and the rich cultural tapestry of the Mission, inspired by its flavors, iconic landmarks and diverse community.

¡VIVA! at the Library is a celebration of Latinx heritage, cultures and traditions. San Francisco has a rich Latinx heritage that is highlighted in a diverse array of exciting programs for all ages, from Spanish/bilingual storytimes to cooking classes, author talks to art and cultural presentations.
