Suitable for:
  • Adults

Learn the basics of trademarks and how they can help protect your brand. This practical workshop explains how trademark rights are established, the benefits of trademark registration and when registration may be appropriate. Participants will learn how to choose distinctive business, product and service names, avoid common branding mistakes that can lead to legal issues, and reduce the risk of trademark disputes as their business grows. Whether you're starting a new business or rebranding an existing one, this session will provide a practical introduction to trademarks and brand protection.

Kristyn Webb is the founding attorney of Vitruvian IP Law LLC, where she advises entrepreneurs and businesses on trademarks, copyrights, licensing and intellectual property strategy. Webb holds a master's degree in U.S., UK and EU Copyright Law from King's College London and is a frequent speaker on intellectual property law.
