San Francisco illusionist Andrew Evans, founder of San Francisco's popular magic speakeasy The Magic Patio, along with The Box Sessions' founder Laura Holson, offer tips on how to live a life filled with wonder and magic. Expanding your capacity for wonder is essential for better health, lowering stress and maintaining strong relationships with friends and family. Plus, it's easy to incorporate into everyday life and a lot of fun. Everyone will learn a magic trick taught by Evans to delight and entertain.

This event is a collaboration with The Box Sessions, a company founded by Holson to inspire curiosity and personal creativity.

Bios

Andrew Evans is the creator and founder of The Magic Patio, a magic speakeasy tucked in a hidden corner of San Francisco. A graduate of Stanford’s product design program, Evans incorporates the techniques he learned there to create magic. His reputation is building among the magic cognoscenti and he was recently featured on Penn and Teller: Fool Us, the TV show created by the duo that is the longest-running act in Las Vegas history.

Laura Holson is an award-winning writer and visual journalist for The New York Times, photographer, creativity advisor and teacher. Laura is a gifted storyteller and keen observer of culture and human behavior. Nearly a decade ago, Holson started a creativity salon that became the foundation for The Box Sessions, which brings together film makers, musicians, writers, storytellers and artists.
