Craft a Korean-style paper lantern using hanji, the traditional handmade paper of Korea, created from the inner bark of the paper mulberry tree and natural plant fibers.

Despite being a type of paper, hanji is extremely durable, water‑resistant, and versatile. It has been used for books, scrolls, fans, paper lanterns, paintings, and even parasols. Hanji was a medium used by the pioneering South Korean artist Yun Hyong‑keun— an artist often cited by RM (Kim Namjoon), the leader of BTS, as an inspiration. Yun even inspired a track on RM’s debut studio album Indigo titled “Yun” (with Erykah Badu).
