*Summer of Love and Haight: Sex, Drugs and Runaways

Event detail

During the Summer of Love, the burgeoning drug culture was viewed as a public crisis. This exhibit highlights government documents that illustrate how city, state, and federal agencies responded to the use of narcotics, rising crime rates, social issues, and the impact it had on the nation.

Be part of the happening. Exhibitions, author talks, arts and crafts and more as San Francisco Public Library celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love. See the SFPL Summer of Love Program Guide (PDF)
