It’s time again to bring your elves to Bernal Heights Branch’s Annual Winter Celebration and Open House.  On Wednesday, December 12th starting at 6 pm we will reprise our yearly festivity of music, crafts, movies and holiday treats.  Our house band, The Bernal Jazz Quintet will play seasonal selections upstairs, while downstairs there will be holiday crafts for all ages.  In the meeting room we will have a cozy set-up for screening holiday movies – not to mention the ever present cookie tables.  And if that isn’t enough, our fabulous neighbor Joan Helgeson will be painting faces with snowflakes and glitter.

The Bernal Jazz Quintet explores familiar standards and fresh new compositions, from bop to blues to ballads and more. An unusual front-line grouping of vibraphone (Jim Zimmerman), sax (Michael Gold), and trombone (Derek James) combines with a driving, creative rhythm section of drums (Curt Moore) and bass (Chuck Bennett).

This is a Making & Creative Arts program from SFPL. Create with us- from clothes to robots to so much more. All materials are provided, unless noted.
