Cómo obtener libros Kindle con OverDrive 

PASO 1. Dirígete a nuestra página principal https://sfpl.org/es y haz clic en la pestaña de Libros y otros material…;— luego escoge Colecciones de libros digitales. 

Si ya has sacado prestado tu libro de kindle por OverDrive, salta al PASO 7 . 

Administrar tus reservas con Entregar más tarde 

En marzo, OverDrive presentó una nueva opción para las reservas disponibles en tu cuenta de OverDrive: Entregar más tarde. Esta función te da más control sobre tus préstamos, para que puedas sacar prestado y leer títulos cuando es más conveniente para ti.

The system checks for duplicate names and won't allow you to submit the application online if an account already exists for someone whose name is exactly the same as yours.

You can submit the online application with your middle name or middle initial, or you can visit in person and submit a paper application.

When the City and County of San Francisco experiences a smoke event, the Library continuously tracks the Air Quality Index (AQI) from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District via the airnow.gov  website. When the air quality reaches Unhealthy levels (AQI of 151 and above), the Library activates our emergency closure plan for branch libraries because some of our facilities lack advanced mechanical ventilation systems.  

Cuando la Ciudad y el Condado de San Francisco vive un evento de humo, la Biblioteca sigue continuamente el Índice de Calidad del Aire (AQI) del Distrito de Monitoreo de la Calidad del Aire del Área de la Bahía a través del sitio web airnow.gov . Cuando la calidad del aire alcanza niveles insalubres (AQI de 151 y más), la Biblioteca activa nuestro plan de cierre de emergencia para las sucursales porque algunas de nuestras instalaciones carecen de sistemas avanzados de ventilación mecánica.

The following instructions will work for most newer Nook (and Kobo) ereaders. 

Step 1. Install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer. 

Download Adobe Digital Editions and install it on your computer.

Note: If you want to sync your EPUB ebooks across multiple devices, you'll need to create an Adobe ID. Once created, open Adobe Digital Editions on each device and sign with this ID before borrowing EPUBs from the Library. Please note that OverDrive does not support the mobile edition of Adobe Digital Editions.

We require a PIN (personal identification number) to protect patron privacy and provide security for library accounts. The PIN ensures that someone cannot check out materials another person’s library account.
