Paglia is a difficult figure in current, queer culture: she has appealed strongly to gay men while receiving ambivalent reactions from lesbians—celebrating gay male culture (Paglia's Ancient Greeks) while deriding lesbian sexual politics. She illustrates the thorny alliance between gay men and lesbians. Released as part of Female Misbehaviour, a feature-length package of four films by Monika Treut.
