SFPL = San Francisco Punk Library! Bay Beats tests the limits of the Main's Koret Auditorium with a sick Punk rock show on Saturday, March 21. Featuring three mainstays of our Punk offerings, this show puts teeth to the expression, "Libraries are so punk rock!" Bay Beats shows are all ages, all the time, to bring the whole family to see:
1 p.m. - Middle-Aged Queers - A queer punk group formed by several founding members and volunteers of the 924 Gilman Street project in Berkeley. Their mission is to defiantly celebrate queer joy in the midst of oppression and uncertainty,
2 p.m. - Warp - Having helped shape the ‘San Francisco Sound’ of the new millennium, they are ready to tear it down. WARP recalls the nihilistic extravagance and rage of Flipper and No Trend with garage-y instrumental acumen.
3 p.m. - George Crustanza - An SF/Oakland based mix of hardcore and skate thrash punk at its crustiest.
Amps and gear are ready to go, and we've also requested reinforcement of hinges and knobs because the music just might blow the doors off the Koret!
