The Aurora Mandolin Orchestra returns to the Koret Auditorium for another lively performance of European melodies, folk songs, popular "oldies", contemporary pieces, and selections from musicals, movie soundtracks, and opera. The orchestra members, who come from all over the Bay Area, play plucked instruments (mandolin, mandola, and mandocello), as well as guitar, string bass, accordion, flute, and percussion. A presence in the Bay Area for almost 100 years, the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra has performed at Davies Symphony Hall and in many Bay Area libraries, museums, cultural festivals, and senior living facilities.
