It's Back and Beloved! 12th Annual Tricycle Music Fest Kicks Off October 7

San Francisco Public Library is rolling out twelve years of Rock! Play! Learn! with its hit music celebration for children, Tricycle Music Fest. The Library welcomes all families to sing and dance along with us at live performances every weekend in October throughout the City.

Opening the festival is the change-making music of 2023 Grammy® Award winners, Alphabet Rockers, with a kickoff concert at Merced Branch. They will also rock the east side at the Bernal Heights Branch. Next up is a Library favorite local band, La Familia Peña-Govea, who will be performing at Excelsior’s Sunday Streets. The following weekend, catch them at the Richmond Branch. Proving that music and reading go hand in hand, 2015 Latin Grammy® winner and bestselling author, Lucky Diaz, will be sharing his music and writing at the Main Children’s Center and a special park performance at Parque Niños Unidos (23rd St and Treat Ave). Tricycle Music Fest wraps up with the progressive funk of Bay Area’s very own, Purple Fox and the Heebie Jeebies. They’ll share their sweet sounds at the Portola Branch and give an encore performance the same day at the Park Branch Open House.

Additionally, Tricycle Music Fest features one very special prize: a tricycle raffle. One lucky concertgoer rides off on a new shiny red tricycle at the end of each show.

Tricycle Music Fest performances are funded by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, bringing music, libraries and families together. Roll on over with your stroller and kick up your feet with family-friendly beats at the Library! Please see the full schedule of events at
