Discover the Healing Power of Chinese Herbal Medicine at San Francisco Public Library
San Francisco, CA – In partnership with the American Chinese Herb Trade Association, the American Chinese Medical Tit Tar Therapy Association and the Chinatown History & Culture Association, the San Francisco Main Library will be hosting Chinese Herbal Medicine Day on March 16, 1-4 p.m.
This unique program will delve into the rich tradition of Chinese herbal medicine, a practice that has been used for thousands of years to prevent and treat a wide range of ailments, including colds, flu and viruses. This event promises to be an enlightening experience, showcasing the benefits of Chinese herbal healing through various engaging activities.
“With the growing global interest in natural therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine—TCM—is gaining popularity internationally,” said Kenny Lau, Chair of Chinese Herbal Medicine Day and President of the American Chinese Herb Trade Association. “Promoting TCM helps address global health needs and fosters international collaboration. During Chinese Herbal Medicine Day, the American Chinese Herb Trade Association will host a series of medical seminars, free medical consultation and other programs to promote TCM, allowing more Americans to recognize, accept and use Chinese herbal medicine.”
“In the United States, the development of TCM has faced many challenges. However, through the efforts of TCM practitioners, TCM has gained widespread recognition. On March 16th, the first Chinese Herbal Medicine Day will be held at San Francisco Main Library. This event will feature well-known physicians in both Chinese and Western medicine who will explore the mystery of Chinese and Western medicine therapies with the attendees. Additionally, a free clinic will be held to provide high-quality free medical consultation services for attendees,” said Jason Zhao, President of the American Chinese Medical Tit Tar Therapy Association.
Attendees will have the chance to participate in a panel discussion focused on wellness, the tradition of Chinese herbal healing and the historical significance of Chinese herbal medicine. In addition, presenters will offer personalized herbal consultations and Tit Tar therapy, allowing participants to experience these ancient practices firsthand.
