Achieve Tax Season Success with San Francisco Public Library
SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) presents Tax Season Success this February and March, a series of expert-led, accessible and educational workshops designed to provide equitable resources and extensive insights for the 2026 tax season.
“Tax season can be stressful, and this year brings added challenges due to changes in the tax code and the prevalence of confusing and misleading information,” said Jonathan Steimnitz, Personal Finance Librarian. “Our workshop series offers sessions for a wide range of taxpayers, providing trustworthy, up-to-date guidance to help participants file safely and accurately.”
Tax Season Success features a comprehensive lineup of virtual workshops to help attendees understand the basics, choose a paid tax preparer, avoid common mistakes and more—whether they are beginners, freelancers, family caretakers or anywhere in between. An in-person workshop is also available to provide clarity on recent federal tax changes and explore how they may impact your finances. Presenters include attorney Timothy Carter from the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, Larry Pon, CPA/PFS, CFP®, EA, USTCP, AEP, Rosario Chacón, MBA, EA, CFP®, CSLP®, FBS®, CDFA, Heather C.
