Melody Yan is a guzheng player, educator, and performer from Sichuan, China.  The guzheng is also known as the Chinese zither. She adapts American classic and contemporary music to Chinese guzheng to create her unique branch of fusion music, mixing the rich tone of the West with the charm of the East.  She founded Melody Yan Fusion Music group in seeking to bridge East-West cultures.

Weaving Stories is the Library's celebration of the many diverse histories and cultures from Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.
