Award-winning author Nina LaCour is celebrating her first young chapter book, The Apartment House on Poppy Hill, with aspiring young writers. Join LaCour on a walk around Bernal Heights neighborhood (one of the inspirations for LaCour's newest book), to observe the things that make your neighborhood special. Discuss local surroundings and use your imagination to turn the place you live into stories.  For ages 7–15.  Space is limited. Reservations required: (415) 355-2810.
