Memoir of a Reluctant Giant is the powerful true story of David, an intersex person standing six feet ten inches tall, who navigates gender identity, societal expectations and self-acceptance. From a challenging adolescence shaped by a strict religious upbringing to a life of global travels, advocacy and love, David’s journey sheds light on intersex experiences, the queer community and the fight for equality. Candid, compassionate and deeply human, this memoir invites readers to rethink what it means to belong.
