Explore Dead Man Walking by Sister Helen Prejean and engage in deep and impactful discussions revolving around this groundbreaking and thought-provoking memoir, its timely themes, and the production brought to stage by San Francisco Opera composer Jake Heggie and librettist Terrence McNally.

Presented in partnership by San Francisco Public Library and San Francisco Opera, Page to Stage: a Dead Man Walking Book Club invites community members to join a guided conversation led by an SF Opera facilitator. Together, we’ll reflect on justice, compassion, and the human stories behind the headlines.

Book club members will receive a free copy of the book and an invitation to attend the final dress rehearsal of the San Francisco Opera performance of Dead Man Walking.

Space limited, reservations required. Registration opens August 1. For more information, call 415-355-5638.
