Celebrate another year with the Noe Valley Library community. A fun-filled day for the whole family includes:

¡VIVA! Latinx Heritage Celebration with Francisco Herrera

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Kick off the day with music and movement! Celebrate VIVA! by singing and playing children's music in Spanish/English on our front patio with beloved performer Francisco Herrera. Vengan a celebrar ¡VIVA! cantando y jugando musica para niños y niñas en Español y Ingles.

Big Play Date

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Little ones can dive into hands-on fun with activities like water painting, sand play, tunnels, bubbles and more! For children ages 0–5.

Facepainting with Diego Flores

12 p.m.-1 p.m.: Get your face painted by professional face painter Diego Flores.

Presidio Nature Talk with Ranger Fatima

2 p.m.-3 p.m.: Discover local wildlife and plants with Ranger Fatima in an engaging session for curious minds of all ages.

Meet Your Community

Connect with library staff, neighbors and local firefighters—and get an up-close look at a real fire truck!

Creative Fun for All Ages

  • Make your own buttons and bookmarks
  • Pick up take-and-make craft kits, created in collaboration with the Mexican Museum of Art

Enjoy free food and drinks while you explore all the library has to offer.

¡VIVA! at the Library is a celebration of Latinx heritage, cultures and traditions. San Francisco has a rich Latinx heritage that is highlighted in a diverse array of exciting programs for all ages, from Spanish/bilingual storytimes to cooking classes, author talks to art and cultural presentations.

Engage in fun and accessible activities that promote growth and exploration.
