Manila-based YA author Mae Coyiuto discusses her new book, Goodbye and Everything After.

A teen girl comes face to face with her dad's spirit when she ignores a strict Filipino superstition in this contemporary young adult novel that tackles grief, family tension, and first love.

Mae Coyiuto is a Chinese Filipino writer, born and raised in the Philippines. Mae earned her BA in Psychology from Pomona College and her Master’s Degree in Writing for Young Adults/Children from The New School. Her first book, Chloe and the Kaishao Boys, was published in 2024. If she’s not writing, she’s usually fangirling over Beyoncé, tennis, Gilmore Girls, or all of the above. She currently lives in Manila.
